Both sides aim to build on their opening-day wins from last week, hoping to maintain their perfect records, albeit with a small sample size, this weekend.

Arsenal secured a hard-fought victory against Manchester United at Old Trafford, where they historically struggle, with Riccardo Calafiori’s early header from a corner proving decisive.

Arsenal have dominated this fixture, winning their last seven matches against Leeds and remaining unbeaten in 14 encounters since 2003, with 12 victories.

The Gunners will back themselves to win comfortably against newly promoted opposition in front of their home fans, a 3-0 home win not seeming unlikely.

New £57m signing Viktor Gyokeres has joined Arsenal from Sporting Lisbon having score more than a goal per game for the Portuguese side last season, and has been brought in to be the final piece of the puzzle for the Gunners to win a first league title since 2004.

The Swede opened his account in pre-season scoring the first goal in a 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao a fortnight ago, and will see Leeds as prime opposition to get his goal scoring account open for his new club in front of his new home fans.
