BMW Championship 2025 LIVE: Final round tee times, leaderboard and prize money as MacIntyre looks to hold off Scheffler

The FedEx Cup playoffs continue this weekend as Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre eyes glory in the BMW Championship.

It was MacIntyre’s Ryder Cup team-mate Justin Rose who won the first playoff event of the schedule last Sunday, overcoming J.J. Spaun in a dramatic three-hole shootout.

Now Bob MacIntyre holds a four shot lead of world number one Scottie Scheffler at Caves Valley Golf Club.

The Scot will resume his tournament at 16-under on the final day and will now look to close out one of the biggest wins of his career.

Scheffler is four back at 12-under while Sweden’s Ludvig Aberg is in the mix too.

The top 30 following the conclusion of the BMW Championship will make it into the season-ending TOUR Championship at East Lake next week.

Scottish Open champion Chris Gotterup is currently 31st in the FedEx Cup standings with Sungjae Im in the lucky 30th spot.

BMW Championship: What has been said?

MacIntyre takes a healthy advantage into the final round of the BMW Championship after sinking a 41-foot putt to birdie the 18th on Saturday night.

MacIntyre, who is on the verge of joining Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose in qualifying for Europe’s Ryder Cup team, birdied the ninth and was clearly fired up, appearing to gesture unhappily at the crowd after sinking a putt to save par on the 14th.

“It was a tough, tough start,” MacIntyre said. “Going out with that lead is difficult but if I do my job well these guys have got to do really well to catch me.

“A 68 today, it was a struggle at times, through five or six holes, but it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog and I’ve got all the fight.”

Asked about his clash with the galleries on the 14th, MacIntyre laughed as he talked about Ryder Cup rivalries.

“We’re in America, playing against their sweetheart Scottie, who I get on well with, he’s a great guy,” he said.

“I expected it today and I expect it again tomorrow. You give me crap, I’ll give you crap back. I’m not scared of that.”
