Bruce Willis' wife Emma Heming Willis has responded to Internet trolls who have been hard on her since she revealed her decision to move the actor into a separate home amid his worsening health condition.

Emma took to Instagram to share a video in which she expressed her thoughts, saying that too often, she is being "judged quickly and unfairly by those who haven't lived this journey or stood on the front lines of it."

"Sharing openly may invite opinions, but more importantly, it creates connection and validation for those actually navigating the realities of caregiving every day," she noted.

She added, "That's who I share for and so I can build a deeper connection with a community that understands this journey."

Bruce Willis Was Diagnosed With FTD In 2023 After His Retirement Due To An Initial Aphasia Diagnosis

Bruce's debilitating health condition was first announced in 2022, when his family revealed that he would be taking a step back from Hollywood due to an aphasia diagnosis.

His condition worsened in 2023 as his family again announced that his diagnosis had progressed into frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a progressive neurological disease that affects language, behavior, and cognition.

Ever since, the "Death Wish" actor's family, including his ex-wife, Demi Moore, and their children, have all been instrumental in taking care of him at home, sometimes sharing sweet moments with the actor on social media.

During a recent interview, Emma stated that the "hardest decision" she has ever had to make was moving Bruce into a separate one-story house away from their primary residence, according to The Blast.

He now has a full-time care team at his beck and call, as Emma usually goes there "a lot" with their daughters, Mabel, and Evelyn, to visit him.

"Bruce would want that for our daughters," Emma explained about her decision.

She added, "He would want them to be in a home that was more tailored to their needs, not his needs."

Since Bruce took ill, Emma has been a vocal advocate for FTD awareness and was often open about their family's life to help destigmatize the disease.

She shared in her new Instagram post that the Diane Sawyer special "did a beautiful job with amplifying FTD awareness, as well as shining a spotlight onto caregivers."

Emma continued: "What I knew is that by sharing some of our intimate information, we would see these two camps, right? It would be people with an opinion versus people with an actual experience."

The actress added that what she had observed in "the comment section" was "people with an opinion and how quick they are to judge the caregiver, and that is what caregivers are up against, you know - judgment from others and criticism from others."

She also shared a health update on the actor, saying he's "still very mobile" and is in "really great health overall," adding that "it's just his brain that's failing him."

Emma gave a sneak peek into her memoir, "The Unexpected Journey," about Bruce's dementia, which will be available for sale on September 9.

Reading from her book, she recalled how a therapist once advised her that "Nothing changes an opinion quite as powerfully as when you have an experience."

"Even if someone is closely familiar with dementia or the condition you are caring for, they aren't in your home, so they don't know how your person is behaving or your family dynamics," she continued. "The truth is that the opinions are so loud and they're so noisy. But if they don't have the experience of this, they don't get a say, and they definitely don't get a vote."

Emma's half-daughter, Tallulah, who Bruce shares with ex-wife Demi Moore, took to the comment section of her post to show her support, writing, "I love you so much. We love you so much. Thank you for all you do for us and our family."
