Cristiano Ronaldo gets engaged to Georgina Rodriguez as she shows off huge diamond ring in Instagram post

Georgina Rodriguez has confirmed that she and Cristiano Ronaldo are engaged.

The Argentine-Spanish model posted an image of a huge diamond ring on her Instagram account on Monday evening.

The 31-year-old has been with the ex-Real Madrid star since 2016 when they met at a Gucci store in the Spanish capital.

The pair have two children together, while Rodriguez treats all of Ronaldo‘s other children like her own.

She was clearly delighted to finally become a fiance as her Instagram post was captioned with: “Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas.”

This translates to: “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.”

The pair currently live in Saudi Arabia with Ronaldo extending his stay at Al Nassr earlier this summer.

The deal sees him earn £178 million-a-year, and he has a 15 per cent ownership in the club, and it looks like he’s used some of that huge pay packet to buy one of the biggest engagement rings you will ever see.

The engagement comes just a few months after Ronaldo revealed why he still hadn’t asked Rodriguez to marry him despite having two kids together.

During an interview during Rodriguez’s Netflix show, ‘I am Georgina’, the model revealed that she was always teased by friends about when they were going to marry.

She said: ‘They’re always joking about the wedding. “When is the wedding?

“Since Jennifer Lopez‘s song “The Ring Or When” came out, they started singing it to me. And well, this is not up to me.”

But at the time, Ronaldo suggested he was waiting for something.

He said: “I always tell her, ‘when we get that click.’ Like everything with our life, and she knows what I’m talking about. 

“It could be in a year or it could be in six months or it could be in a month. I’m 1000% sure that it’ll happen.'”

It seems Ronaldo has now found that click.

And one person who will be particularly delighted is Ronaldo’s mother, who always wanted the pair to tie the knot.

In an interview with Piers Morgan in 2019, Ronaldo said: “She’s helped me a lot. Of course,

“I’m in love with her. We will get married one day, it’s my mother’s dream”.

The world now wait to see what the wedding plans are, but it is no doubt set to be one of the most spectacular ceremonies we’ve ever seen.

Away from these fascinating instances in Ronaldo’s personal life, the forward has been on fire in pre-season ahead of the new Saudi Pro League campaign.

Despite being 40, Ronaldo has five goals in the space of a few days.

He grabbed a hat-trick against Portuguese side Rio Ave before scoring twice in Al-Nassr’s 3-2 defeat to Almeria.

Ronaldo is currently sat on 99 goals for Al-Nassr, so you would think he’ll be breaking the 100 barrier imminently.
