European club docked a mega 94 points and at risk of being thrown out of all competitions

Romanian side FC U Craiova have been hit with a mammoth 94-point deduction due to financial difficulties.
The club are due to compete in Seria V of the country’s third tier, Liga III, following their administrative relegation from Liga II.
FC U Craiova did not receive a license to play in the second division for the 2025/26 campaign.
And now they sit bottom in their Liga III table on -94 points following a sanction from the Romanian Football Federation [FRF].
As per Digi Sport, the club have been set a deadline of September 3 to provide proof of payments to former players and coaches.
Failure to do so could spell more points deductions and also exclusion from leagues across the country.
Furthermore, it is said that for every 15 days of non-payment, two points will be deducted.
According to GOLAZO.ro, a decision on their potential exclusion could come on September 25.
However, FC U Craiova owner Adrian Mititelu confidently said: “We will not be excluded. The situation will be resolved one way or another!”
He also said: “The so-called rulings and decisions of the FRF, including these demerits, have no value, because they have no legal mandate.
But the FRF told GOLAZO.ro: “Mititelu challenges everything in court.
“But that doesn’t mean that sanctions cannot be applied according to the regulations.”
Mititelu also spoke against the decision via Gazeta Sporturilor.
He said: “The so-called rulings and decisions of the FRF, including these demerits, have no value, because they have no legal mandate.
“And, moreover, after the decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union, they are no longer final.
“It’s over! They must be subject to the courts.”
