How Timothee Chalamet Made Kylie Jenner's B-Day 'Special' From Miles Away

Timothée Chalamet wasn’t able to attend Kylie Jenner‘s birthday party, but he was there in spirit.

“Timothée went out of his way to make her feel special on her birthday,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “He sent gifts, they had a FaceTime call and he coordinated meaningful gestures with Kylie’s friends that made her feel very special.”

Chalamet, 29, was busy filming Dune: Part Two in Europe when Jenner celebrated turning 28 on August 10 with family and friends in Los Angeles. However, the reality star has since reunited with her boyfriend by jetting to Hungary, where they were spotted getting coffee at Budapest Baristas on Tuesday, August 19, near his set.

“They are very much together and don’t need to be in person together every day for it to work,” the source explains. “They adore each other and really make it work even with two busy schedules and sometimes not even being in the same time zone.”

The source describes the relationship as “one of the healthiest” that Jenner has ever been in because it has brought her “a sense of calm and stability that she hasn’t always had in the past.” (The Kardashians star previously dated rapper Travis Scott, with whom she shares 7-year-old daughter Stormi and 3-year-old son Aire.)

“[Timothée] lets Kylie just be herself, and there is no pressure from either of them,” the source adds. “They have the same sense of humor and understanding of their two different lives. It just works. Their ability to keep things low-key, even with their high-profile careers, has made the connection feel even more genuine.”

Initially, Chalamet’s absence from Jenner’s sunflower-themed birthday bash sparked speculation that the couple had split.

However, a second insider confirms to Us that the Kylie Cosmetics founder and the Oscar nominee are “still together and happy” with “no break” in their two-year romance.

“He’s on set working, and she has two kids,” the insider notes. “They have schedules that don’t allow them to see each other every day, but it works for them, and everyone around them sees that. They don’t frequently get spotted together because when they get together, they are able to do it privately most of the time with one-on-one special time.”

Us Weekly has reached out to reps for Jenner and Chalamet for comment.

The pair were first romantically linked in April 2023 and have since made several public appearances together, including at the 2024 Golden Globes and the 2025 David Di Donatello Awards, where they made their red carpet debut in May.

Jenner also recently made their relationship Instagram official by following Chalamet on the social media platform. He has yet to return the favor, though he notably does not follow any accounts.
