Hulk Hogan's Family and Friends Remember WWE Legend During Florida Memorial

Hulk Hogan was remembered by his loved ones in a memorial service more than one week after his death.
The funeral for the wrestling legend was held in Largo, Florida, on Tuesday, August 5, a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. The service was reportedly held at Indian Rocks Baptist Church, just a few miles from Hogan’s Clearwater home, according to photos published by the Daily Mail.
Hogan died at 71 years old on July 24 after he suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Hogan’s cause of death was later revealed as acute myocardial infarction, most commonly known as a heart attack, according to documents obtained by Us Weekly on July 31. His manner of death was listed as natural.

Additionally, Hogan suffered from Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a type of cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes. The illness progresses more slowly than other forms of leukemia and typically only affects older adults. It’s not known when Hogan was diagnosed with CLL, as he did not make his illness publicly known prior to his death.
The documents also revealed plans for Hogan’s body to be cremated. The plans were approved by the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center in Largo, Florida, on July 30.
Hogan’s family reacted to his death in the days following his passing.
“I had no idea he would pass away this soon,” his ex-wife Linda Hogan, with whom he shares son Nick Hogan and daughter Brooke Hogan, commented on her own Instagram post on July 28. “We all really thought he would make a come back! Big surprise. We are all devastated. It’s hitting me so hard.”
Though she said she “never spoke to or saw” Hulk in the days leading up to his death, Linda, 65, added that she would receive updates about the wrestler’s life from their son.
“Nick would tell me things and vice versa,” Linda explained. “Just news about life. I still felt .. although broken .. we still were a family. It’s so hard to know he’s just gone. I tried to stay strong for Nick … but I’m melting down now. It’s very sad.”
She concluded, “I love you Hulkster. You were my man. The only man for me. RIP.”
Hulk was married to Linda from 1983 to 2009. Following their split, he moved on with Jennifer McDaniel in 2010. The pair divorced in 2021.
Hulk tied the knot with his third wife, Sky Daily, in September 2023.
“I wasn’t ready for this… and my heart is in pieces,” Daily wrote in response to Hulk’s death in a July 25 post. “He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time. This loss is sudden and impossible to process. To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart.”
She continued, “Hulk loved his fans so much and despite his growing physical discomfort, he did everything he could to show up, sign autographs, take photos, and connect with the people who supported him through it all. You meant everything to him. He was a believer in Christ, and I take comfort knowing his soul is at peace and he’s been welcomed home. Please keep his family and all of us who loved him in your prayers as we try to navigate this new reality.”

Both Nick, 35, and Brooke, 37, remembered their father in lengthy social media posts.
“My dad was the most incredible person I’ve ever known and will always be my hero. He was the most kind, loving and amazing father anybody could ask for,” Nick wrote. “I feel so blessed to have had the greatest dad in the world. He was not only the best dad but also my mentor and my best friend. He always has been my best friend and I love him and miss him more than I could ever explain.”
Meanwhile, Brooke, who was estranged from her father at the time of his death, shared, “His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments. We had a connection deeper than words, one that spanned lifetimes. I am so grateful that I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens. We shared a quiet, sacred bond, one that could be seen and felt by anyone who witnessed us together.”
