Next Rangers Manager odds: Gerrard into 3/1 as pressure mounts mounts on Martin
Steven Gerrard is back in the mix to be back as Rangers manager after a horrible run for the Scottish side under Russell Martin.
After three games in the Scottish Premiership and only three draws the pressure was already mounting, but losing 6-0 to Club Brugge last night, the manager’s time is limited.

The pressure from fans is also mounting which makes the Rangers odds even more interesting.
You and Rangers fans may get the feeling of Deja Vu here as Gerrard is once again in the list of potential candidates to takeover at the Ibrox.
Just four months ago he was 2/1 to replace the then caretaker manager Barry Ferguson (now 8/1).
Now Gerrard is just behind another English manager, Sean Dyche who would have to be lured away from the Premier League after most recently managing Everton.
Gerrard had some great moments in charge of Rangers – his first managerial role – from 2018 to 2021 before departing for Aston Villa.
Things didn’t quite go to plan for the Liverpool legend there and left in 2022 before being picked up in 2023 by Al-Ettifaq for a big change in scenery to Saudi Arabia.
Gerrard left that role in January 2025 by mutual consent with the club struggling just above the relegation zone.
The former midfielder led Rangers into a record-breaking season in 2020/21, which included derby victories over Celtic, going well in the Europa League group stages and winning the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers fans would be very happy to see past this difficult time bringing a proven manager back in, but there are some other interesting names listed.
