Pregnant Vanessa Hudgens Praises 'Silent Brigade' of Supportive Moms

Whenever Vanessa Hudgens needs support, she knows she can turn to fellow parents.

“The legion of moms is something that is so strong and something that I am so extraordinarily grateful for,” the actress exclusively told Us Weekly at Narwal’s summer soiree in Los Angeles on Thursday, August 21. “It’s like a silent brigade that’s always around who are a group of the toughest, strongest women — most resilient people you’ll ever meet.”

Hudgens, 36, announced via Instagram in July that she is expecting her second child with her husband, Cole Tucker. The couple, who married in December 2023, already share a 1-year-old whose name and sex they have yet to reveal.

“Being able to lean on other women at this time and hear their stories and have them as kind of, like, a backbone, it’s just been really beautiful and inclusive,” the High School Musical star continued.

Hudgens stunned in a long, white, off-the-shoulder maternity dress that hugged her baby bump at Thursday’s event, where she expressed her excitement for her baby’s upcoming arrival.

“It’s wild, man,” she told Us of her pregnancy. “Life comes at you quick!”

That said, Hudgens gushed that she is loving this chapter of her life.

“It’s honestly my favorite,” she shared. “I genuinely couldn’t be happier.”

Hudgens has been busy professionally too, having recently shot Quiet Storm, an upcoming thriller that takes place in the summer of 1969 during Hurricane Camille. She plays a romance novelist who gets trapped indoors as the deadly storm sweeps the U.S. Gulf Coast.

“I did this film that I’m extraordinarily passionate about. I got to unleash sides of myself that I’ve never seen before,” she teased. “As an actress who’s been in this industry for 20 years now, to see a new side of myself is really exciting and fulfilling. So, I’m really excited to shock everyone with this one because it’s going to be a shock.”

With production now wrapped, Hudgens has been enjoying quality downtime with Tucker, 29, and their firstborn before baby No. 2 enters the mix.

“Summer’s been good. You know, just momming,” she told Us, joking that she was “feeling hot” in the California heat. “[I’ve] been here in L.A., enjoying the sun, enjoying the pool, a lot of park time, a lot of hanging out at home, a lot of Sesame Street.”

And thanks to Narwal’s robot vacuum cleaners and mops, Hudgens has been able to stay present for her family.

“I am very specific about how I like to keep my house, and time is the most precious thing that we have. And now, being a mom, all of the moments that I can save are extremely valuable,” she explained. “I became a fan of Narwal because of how intuitive, how smart it is and how it can actually keep my home clean without even needing to think about it, just so I can have more time to work on jobs and be Mom.”
