Diddy's Lawyers Consider Seeking 'Home Confinement' For Rapper As He Needs Therapy For 'Anger Issues'

Sean "Diddy" Combs' legal team is reportedly preparing to argue for a home confinement sentence to be handed down to the embattled rapper rather than prison time.
The rapper's lawyers earlier argued that the Bad Boy Records founder didn't deserve to be behind bars, as Judge Arun Subramanian denied several attempts to secure his release on bail.
Sean "Diddy" Combs is already thinking of life after his legal troubles are over, as his lawyer shared that he's looking to reunite with his family, and possibly host a show at Madison Square Garden.
Diddy's Team Is Pushing For Home Confinement

Diddy's lawyers are considering arguing for the "Finna Get Loose" rapper to serve out his potential confinement at his plush $50 million Miami mansion, where he held several of his infamous "freak offs."
The hip-hop mogul was convicted in July on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, but was acquitted of the more severe charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.
His violation of the Mann Act sees him looking to serve a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison for each count. However, reports suggest he'll likely be getting only 1-3 years of confinement for several reasons, among which is the fact that he's a first-time offender.
According to TMZ, his lead legal counsel, Marc Agnifilo, shared that Diddy needs and wants therapy for his anger issues and substance abuse, but wouldn't be getting such help in prison.
When asked if they'll be asking the judge to hand him a home confinement rather than prison time, Agnifilo said that it was an option they were considering.
Diddy Reportedly Admits To Living Life With 'Deficits'

According to the news outlet, Agnifilo mentioned that although asking the judge for a home confinement was a "possibility," he was already gathering a team of professionals on the "outside" to help Diddy with his therapy, adding that he would make therapy a condition for "supervised release."
The legal expert noted that Diddy already admitted that he needs therapy and has lived his adult life with "deficits," which he hopes to work on during his incarceration.
The "Bad Boy For Life" rapper has been locked away at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center since he was arrested in September last year.
The Judge Has Denied All Of The Rapper's Bail Requests, Including His $50M Bail Request

Since his arrest, Diddy has had multiple requests for bail denied by Judge Arun Subramanian, who cited his years-long pattern of violence and his being a flight risk as reasons for denying him bail.
As reported by The Blast, his recent bail proposal, which included a $50 million bond and a willingness to accept house arrest at his Miami home, was also rejected.
Judge Arun Subramanian ruled that the embattled rapper "fails to satisfy his burden to demonstrate an entitlement to release."
Did Diddy's Team Approach Donald Trump For A Pardon?

Ahead of his October sentencing, Diddy's team has repeatedly approached President Donald Trump to explore the possibility of a pardon for the convicted rapper.
One of Diddy's lawyers, Nicole Westmoreland, made the revelation during an interview with CNN on Tuesday, sharing that they've contacted the Trump administration about a potential pardon.
"It's my understanding that we've reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon," Westmoreland said.
However, it appears that not all of the rapper's legal counsel are on board with the decision. Agnifilo distanced himself from the reports, saying he's "not political" and has "nothing to do with a possible pardon."
"I have had conversations with nobody," Agnifilo said, per USA Today. "I have not spoken to the president. I have not spoken to anybody who speaks to the president about Sean Combs. I have not."
He went further to add that he's "not political" and that he only tells Diddy about what is in the news about the pardon rumors, but that the rapper said to "go tell (Trump) I deserve a pardon."
Donald Trump Says A Pardon For The Rapper Would Be 'Difficult'

Reports earlier suggested that Trump, on his part, is "more than open" to granting Diddy a presidential pardon, but things seem to have changed if his body language is anything to go by.
During an interview on Newsmax last Friday, the president said he considers Diddy "sort of half-innocent," but handing him a pardon has been made "more difficult" because of his past criticism of him.
"He was essentially, I guess, sort of half-innocent," Trump said, per The Guardian. "He was celebrating a victory, but I guess it wasn't as good a victory."
"When I ran for office, he was very hostile," the billionaire politician continued. "It's hard, you know? We're human beings. And we don't like to have things cloud our judgment, right? But when you knew someone and you were fine, and then you run for office, and he made some terrible statements..."
"So I don't know … It makes it more difficult to do," he added.
