It could be a classic tale of David vs Goliath as all cup ties like to bill it as and it has the makings of it judging by the odds alone.

Grimsby sit in 4th in League Two and face Man United who are 16th in the Premier League, a huge gap between the two in all aspects.

Sesko can make most of start

The Red Devils have clearly wanted to turn a corner this season with the trust fully in Ruben Amorim to implement his system despite finishing 15th in the Premier League last season.

In the summer they completely transformed their attacking outlet but have yet to really showcase it.

This could be the time for new signings Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo to really get some practice in gelling together, to get plenty of chances in front of goal.

I’d imagine Man United will send out a few youngsters tonight though to give them a run out.

However, Sesko didn’t start against Fulham or against Arsenal in their opening two games in the Premier League so it seems likely he will be among the starters.

Man United to fend off Grimsby

Grimsby will put in a big effort tonight but they may struggle to keep the chances for Manchester United out.

If United to get the lead in the first half it could open things up even more allowing them to continue to their barrage of attacks.
