Prince Harry is reportedly devastated over the alleged "hostile takeover" of Sentebale, the African charity he co-founded.

Allegations have emerged against current chair Dr. Sophie Chandauka, who claims misogynoir and governance issues led to the Duke of Sussex's resignation.

Sources close to Prince Harry have also accused Chandauka of rehashing unproven allegations instead of focusing on the charity's mission.

According to Daily Mail royal editor Rebecca English, the Duke of Sussex is "utterly devastated," spending hours on the phone from California talking to supporters late into the night, telling them about a "hostile takeover" of his "life's work."

Sources close to Harry allege that Dr. Sophie Chandauka, now chair of Sentebale, "cajoled her way" through manipulation and has since disregarded concerns about mismanagement.

"They claim she would rather see the charity 'go down in flames' than admit she is guilty of mismanagement and resign," English stated.

"She shopped them all to the Charity Commission when the trustees raised their concerns about the charity's governance," one insider claimed.

One source insisted there is "no way in hell" Harry "would ever work with Sentebale again … at least not while Sophie Chandauka and her new stool pigeons [trustees] were in place."

Earlier this year, Harry officially stepped down from his role at the African charity.

He and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, his longtime partner in the initiative, released a heartfelt joint statement, expressing their shock and disappointment over the charity's internal conflict.

"What's transpired is unthinkable. We are in shock that we have to do this," the statement read per People Magazine. "With heavy hearts, we have resigned from our roles as patrons of the organization until further notice, in support of and solidarity with the board of trustees who have had to do the same."

Despite their resignation, both founders affirmed their lasting connection to the organization: "Although we may no longer be patrons, we will always be its founders, and we will never forget what this charity is capable of achieving when it is in the right care."

After things went south at Sentebale, Dr. Chandauka alleged that "misogynoir" played a central role in the resignation of Harry and the board of trustees.

In a chat with The London Times in March, the corporate finance lawyer claimed that underneath "the victim narrative and fiction" allegedly released to the press was the story of a lady "who dared to blow the whistle about issues of poor governance, weak executive management, abuse of power, bullying, harassment, misogyny, misogynoir and the cover-up that ensued."

She further alleged that Harry launched a smear campaign against her after stepping down from the organization, resulting in "harassment and bullying."

Following a formal investigation, the Charity Commission for England and Wales, the independent government body that registers and regulates charities, released a statement on Tuesday on its findings related to claims about Prince Harry's charity.

The commission revealed that it found no evidence of "widespread or systemic bullying or harassment, including misogyny or misogynoir at the charity."

It also found no evidence of "over-reach by either the chair or the Duke of Sussex as patron."

However, the commission did criticize a "lack of clarity in delegations to the chair, which allowed for misunderstandings to occur."

Despite these findings, tensions surrounding the situation continue to escalate. Sentebale has called on the Charity Commission to publicly clarify that its recent findings did not specifically investigate allegations of racism, misogyny, or bullying, particularly those directed at Harry.

A spokesperson from Sentebale told Sky News that they "have written to The Charity Commission stating that the onus is on the commission to restate for the record that individual allegations of bullying have not been investigated or addressed in the commission's report."

However, sources close to Harry have dismissed the charity's latest move as a calculated attempt to "rehash unsubstantiated allegations of bullying, misogyny and more."

One source criticized the effort, stressing that it isn't "just provocative, it's pitiful."

They added: "If Ms Chanduaka has genuine concerns, she should spell them out plainly or, better yet, toward something truly worthwhile, like raising money for the children Sentebale exists to support."

They further slammed Dr Chandauka, urging the chairwoman to "plainly" express her issues if she has "genuine concerns" or "redirect her energy" toward causes that would benefit the children for whom Sentebale was created to provide "support."
